The Fan.Tastic Females want to go on tour – so, get the exhibition and show it in your city, in your country, at your club!

Generally speaking, the whole process works as follows:

• exhibitors of the respective next venue carry the cost for postage / transportation of the exhibition from the previous venue to their city.

• On top of that, a deposit should be made to FSE in advance to be able to compensate for potentially damaged exhibition elements – if there is no damage though, the full deposit will be refunded to you asap.

• With professional clubs or museums or similarly professional organisations seeking to exhibit the project, we might charge a small fee which we will use exclusively to cover the costs occuring for the background organisation.

The coordination of the transportation and the exhibition route will be worked out together with members of the project group of the Fan.Tastic Females.

To keep the costs related to transportation as low as possible, we would like to put together a geographically time- and cost-efficient route for all exhibitors in consultation with them and based on the details of their respective requests.  

As soon as your exhibition dates are set, you will receive more materials, tips and templates to support your arrangements and the design of the framework programme.

The project Fan.Tastic Females – Football Her.Story is very much a DIY project and is being organised by a group of volunteers from all over Europe who are all active football fans themselves.

How come? Several years back, a number of members of the European fans‘ network Football Supporters Europe (FSE) had an exchange about how female fan culture in football could be shown just as what it’s truly like – outside of common media stereotypes.

As a result of this process, the idea for the exhibition project Fan.Tastic Females – Football Her.Story started to take shape as well as a group of many many people who have worked tirelessly during their spare time for its realisation ever since, be it as part of the overall coordinating team, with filmmaking, with graphic design, via spending many hours with transcribing numerous interviews, with translation jobs, via supporting the interview arrangements in the countries of travel and many things more:

…the heart of our exhibition: portraits of female fans and fan culture from 20 countries across Europe and even a few countries beyond that – from the female ultra to the all-female fan group to the woman who joins all away trips, from the chairwoman of the clubs‘ supervisory board to the players wife to the oldest season ticket holder in her country...

…the infamous „Women in Football“ Bullshit Bingo and more….

Apart from that, the main idea behind the project Fan.Tastic Females – Football Her.Story has been from the beginning to make the exhibition accessible for as many fans and as many places and environments across Europe as possible.  

This is why the project is designed as a multimedia touring exhibition, to allow it to be taken from A to B in relatively easy and cost-efficient ways.

The content of the exhibition will be presented on mobile displays and banners in German and English, videos can be scanned and watched on the visitors‘ smartphones via QR codes.  

Like this, fans or organisations with limited own resources should be enabled to show the exhibition. At the same time, exhibitors with the respective additional equipment and facilities (e.g. club museums) could present the multimedia parts via their own screens inside their premises.
